Formation

Before the formation of Country Line Dance Association (Singapore), the Singapore line dance community had talked about forming such an association for a while. No one had taken any concrete action towards realizing such talks though. It took the passion of our Founding President, Mr. Michael Pang, to eventually turn the dream into reality.

After a few months of hard work starting early 2000, the Country Line Dance Association (Singapore) was given the approval on 8 August 2000 and officially born on 15 August 2000.

Objects

The Association aims to:

• Promote and popularize line dancing in Singapore
• Provide guidelines and recommend syllabus for line dancing courses
• Organize events for members

Affiliation

The Association is an Associate Member of the Singapore DanceSport Federation, the National Sports Association governing DanceSport in Singapore, since April 2002.
